October Sky - At The Movies 2021

This is a true story of daring to dream - daring to leave the comfortable and shoot for the stars. In the 1950's Homer Hickam, a kid with feet firmly planted on earth had only one future in sight, to work in the local coal mine like his father. However in October 1957, everything changed when the first artificial satellite, Sputnik, went into orbit.

Let God speak a dream into your heart today as we see Homer dream an impossible dream in the face of the constant voices of defeat, discouragement, and failure. Today, we dream again, we don’t quit, and when God places a dream in ours we get up again and again and shoot for the stars.
