Welcome to Difference Maker!

Psalm 78 declares, “We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.”

That is the heartbeat of this initiative: their forever. Every gift you give, every sacrifice you make, every prayer you pray—it’s all about the next generation, about the prodigal sons and daughters who are still far from God but will one day say, “Real Life is where I was found and fell in love with Jesus.

FAQ

Welcome to Difference Maker!

For eight years, God has written an incredible story through Real Life—hundreds of lives changed, baptisms celebrated, and prodigals coming home. But this is just the beginning.

Our city is full of people still searching for hope, and now is the time to create a permanent home where generations can encounter Jesus.

This is more than a building—it’s about transformed lives and eternal impact. We’re inviting everyone to pray, participate, and step out in faith.

Together, let’s be Difference Makers and write the next chapter of Real Life.

The Commitment Card

THE Two Year Gift Chart

To reach our goal of $1.9 million, these are the types of gifts we anticipate it will take.

We’re asking you to pause, pray, and sincerely ask the Lord what it would look like to stretch your faith and push yourself in this season. We don’t want you to give a penny more than what the Lord asks—but we also don’t want you to give a penny less.

Your obedience and faith to say, “yes” to the Lord will make an eternal difference.

We’d love for you to take a few minutes and watch this special video about the Difference Maker commitment card.

This is not about building a monument—it’s about a movement. It’s about eternity. The power of our generosity is that when every one of us participates, God uses it to change lives forever. Our goal is simple: 100% participation.

Together, let’s step out in faith and be Difference Makers for our families, our city, and generations to come!

Here’s How the Commitment Card Works

  • Annual Giving – Your regular tithes and offerings that already fuel ministry.

  • Expanded Giving – A prayerful step above and beyond your regular giving over the next two years.

  • Stored Resources – This is where faith often stretches us most. Beyond income, consider what God has already placed in your hands—stocks, savings, inheritance, land, a vehicle, or other assets. Releasing these resources can unlock Kingdom impact far beyond what we imagine.

Take time to pray and ask the Lord: “What step of faith are You calling me to take?” For some, that step will mean opening Your hands to stored resources that could make an eternal difference.

FreQuently Asked

Questions

1. What is the Difference Maker Initiative?

The Difference Maker Initiative is a two-year journey of faith and generosity designed to position Real Life Church for maximum impact. Together, we aim to raise $1.9 million—$900,000 for ongoing ministry (what we already fund today) and $1 million to secure our first, permanent church home. It’s not about a building; it’s about creating a launchpad for ministry, discipleship, and the Gospel for generations to come.

2. WhY do we need a permanent facility?

For eight years, Real Life has been blessed to meet in a portable space. But portable has limitations:

  • Kids Ministry: It is difficult to transform an elementary school into a sacred space where distractions are minimized. We cannot host life-giving events like VBS or Kids Camp due to space.

  • Youth: We are outgrowing the Hope Center, and teens and worship rehearsal compete for the same space, creating challenges.

  • Adults: We cannot host marriage conferences, weddings, or funerals in a consistent, life-giving environment.

  • Stability: Every portable location has a timeline. We desire a permanent space so our city knows we are here to stay.

A permanent facility gives us stability, capacity, and sacred spaces designed to reach prodigals and disciple the next generation.

3. WHAT SIZE AND TYPE OF FACILITY ARE WE PURSUING?

We are prayerfully seeking a 15,000–20,000 square foot facility, with spaces like the old Office Max or Walgreens as examples. A space like this would double our capacity, allow kids and youth to thrive, and give us room to expand ministry throughout the week—not just on Sundays.

4. ISN’T THIS JUST ABOUT HAVING A BUILDING?

No. This isn’t about a monument—it’s about a movement. A building is simply a tool, a launchpad, and a home for prodigals to return to. It will:

  • Provide sacred spaces for children and teens to encounter God.

  • Allow adults to gather for worship, marriage conferences, weddings, and funerals.

  • Multiply disciple-makers, leaders, and church planters.

  • Serve as a 24/7 hub for Gospel-centered ministry in our city.

  • $900,000 will cover our ongoing ministries over two years—everything we already invest in today: staff, outreach, discipleship, missions, Sunday gatherings, and more.

  • $1,000,000 will position us to say “yes” when God opens the door to purchase or renovate our first permanent facility.

5. WHY 1.9 MILLION?

6. WHAT IS THE PRIMARY GOAL IF THIS INITIATIVE?

Our primary goal is 100% participation. Every person and every family has the opportunity to be a Difference Maker. We believe God will supply the finances when His people step out in faith. It’s not about equal gifts—it’s about equal generosity.

7. HOW WILL MY GIFT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Every dollar given directly fuels life change:

  • Kids & Youth: Creating spaces where they can encounter Jesus without distraction.

  • Adults & Families: Building capacity for discipleship, conferences, and gatherings.

  • Our City & Beyond: Multiplying leaders, sending church planters, and advancing the Gospel around the world.

  • Ultimately, your gift invests in eternal stories—lives forever changed by Jesus.

8. HOW LONG IS THE COMMITMENT PERIOD?

This is a two-year initiative. Gifts and pledges made now will fuel ministry and facility efforts through the next 24 months.

9. HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT TO GIVE?

We encourage you to take three steps:

  • Celebrate this moment and what God has already done through Real Life.

  • Commit to hearing from God. Ask Him: “What does faith look like for me in this season?”

  • Consider what it means for you to be a Difference Maker—taking a bold step of faith, giving neither more nor less than what God asks of you.

10. WHAT IF I CAN’T GIVE A LARGE GIFT?

Remember—this isn’t about equal giving; it’s about equal generosity. Even the smallest gift, when given in faith, makes an eternal difference. What matters most is that every person participates in writing this next chapter together.

11. Can I give non-cash gifts?

Yes! Beyond cash, we invite people to give through stocks, savings, and stuff —expanded gifts of assets, securities, property, or other resources can make a major difference.

12. When Will we purchase the facility?

We don’t have an exact building secured yet, but we are actively discerning and preparing. This initiative positions us to move quickly when God opens the door to the right space.

13. What if we don’t reach our 1.9 million goal?

The vision remains the same: to secure a permanent space and expand life-changing ministry. If we fall short, we will still move forward as God provides, though the timeline may be longer. We trust God to supply through the faithful generosity of His people.

14. What if we exceed our goal?

If God provides above and beyond, every dollar will go toward accelerating ministry, facility readiness, and greater impact in our city and beyond. More resources mean more capacity to reach more prodigals.

15. How will the funds be managed?

We are committed to transparency and accountability. Every dollar given will be stewarded with integrity, aligned with our mission, overseen by our trustees and reported clearly to the church family.

16. How Do I give?

You can give through:

  • Commitment Cards: Indicating your two-year pledge.

  • Online Giving: Setting up recurring gifts through our giving platform.

  • Special Gifts: Stocks, assets, or one-time offerings.

  • Celebration Sunday (Dec 14): Where we bring our first gifts together.

17. Why now?

Because prodigals are waiting. Our city is full of people searching for belonging, hope, and truth. Every year we wait, opportunities are lost. By stepping forward now, we create a permanent home where lives can be changed today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

18. How Can I pray for this initiative?

Pray for:

  • Unity—that every person in our church would participate.

  • Wisdom—for leadership as we seek the right facility.

  • Provision—that God would supply abundantly through His people.

  • Impact—that countless prodigals would come home and meet Jesus.
